Description
Merino wool is not all the same. These MERINNOVATION joggers sit in the midweight range: enough fabric weight for real insulation, light enough to move freely. At 18.5 microns, each fiber strand is fine enough to bend against skin which is why it does not itch regardless of activity level, and why the softness does not wash out over time.
Midweight merino performs best across the mid-temperature range: cold enough to need real warmth, active enough to generate body heat through movement. In cold conditions, the fabric traps warm air close to the body. During exertion, that same structure allows heat to move out before you overheat. Wear them alone on cool fall mornings, or layered under outerwear in winter.
The cut works as both a standalone pant and a base layer. The fit is relaxed enough for lounging, flexible enough for a running stride, with a tapered leg that layers cleanly under wind pants or ski trousers without bunching. Pockets sit at functional depth, holding a phone or hand warmers on the trail. The waistband sits comfortably under a pack's hip belt on longer hikes.
Merino cared for correctly outlasts performance fabrics by years. These joggers are built to be worn often, washed regularly, and remain soft and well-fitting over time. That longevity changes the cost-per-wear calculation significantly. For the women in your life who run, hike, or simply value being warm and comfortable, this is a gift they will actually reach for.
MERINNOVATION builds merino products to one standard: the same fiber quality and fabric engineering as premium-priced alternatives, at a price that does not require an apology. These joggers represent that standard. Merino performance, accessible to the people who actually wear it every day.

Care Instructions
Merino is easier to care for than most people expect — and because it naturally resists odor, you'll wash it far less than cotton or synthetics.
Washing
- Machine wash cold (30°C / 86°F) on a gentle or wool cycle
- Use a mild detergent — no bleach, no fabric softener (softener coats the fiber and reduces its natural performance)
- Wash with similar colors, inside out
Drying
- Lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight — this keeps the shape and fit
- Do not tumble dry, do not wring
Between wears
- Air it out overnight — merino refreshes itself and is usually ready to wear again
- Spot-clean small marks with cold water instead of a full wash
Storage & pilling
- Store folded, clean and fully dry
- Light pilling in high-friction areas during the first weeks is normal for natural fibers — remove it gently with a fabric shaver and it fades over time
Every MERINNOVATION piece is covered by a 1-year warranty — register yours here.

Base-layer comfort, all-day pants
Merino joggers and leggings that move with you — training, travel, or the couch.

Train in them. Fly in them. Sleep in them.
Soft enough for the couch, technical enough for a cold-morning run, presentable enough for the airport. Merino keeps its shape and keeps you at the right temperature through all three.

Built around movement
A gusseted crotch removes the pull points, the wide waistband stays put without digging in, and the natural stretch of the knit follows squats, strides, and cross-legged sitting alike.

Will it itch?
No. We use superfine merino fibers that bend on contact with skin instead of prickling it. If you've only worn traditional wool, the difference is immediate.
Are the leggings opaque?
Midweight 250 gsm is fully opaque and wears on its own. Lightweight 165 gsm is designed as a base layer — best under shells or shorts.
Do they bag out at the knees?
Merino has natural recovery — the knit springs back after wear. Lay-flat drying keeps the original shape for years.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, lay flat to dry. No softener, no tumble dryer. Between washes, just air it overnight — merino refreshes itself. Full details in our care guide.
